Fuel Surcharge – January 2020

It is widely recognised that fuel represents a third of transport operating costs. Due to this substantial increase we found it necessary to apply a fuel surcharge to all distribution shipments from August 2018. The surcharge is only be applied when the average price of diesel exceeds 95p per litre excluding VAT for a period of one month.

The banding below has been adjusted from January 2020, and this will be used to evaluate the appropriate level of surcharge. This is monitored and adjusted if necessary on a monthly basis. We use the price per litre published by the Road Haulage Association to set our rate.
